Parent teacher interactions are very important for the overall development of the child. It benefits the parents, teachers as well as the students in the following ways:
Parents: Positive parent-school communications benefit parents. The manner in which schools communicate and interact with parents affects the extent and quality of parents' home involvement with their children's learning.
Students: There are a lot of substantial benefits for children including raising their academic achievement, increased motivation for learning, improved behavior, more regular attendance, and a more positive attitude about homework and school in general.
Teachers: Teachers learn more about students' needs and home environment, which is information they can apply toward better meeting those needs. They can discuss the problems with parents, which results in a combined effort of both parents and teachers in shaping the child’s life.
However, organising a parent teacher meeting every few days can be a tedious task for both the teachers as well as the parents. For most working parents, the difficult juggling between work schedules and school schedules is typical. It is very difficult for the parents to take time out from their work, moreover it also affects the teacher’s efficiency as she has to attend the parents who might visit in an uncertain manner.
